This is fucking fantastic. If Ingrid were from East London, the NME would be going ape-shit over them. You know when you hear something important, everything else seems unimportant? After listening to this, you feel guilty cueing up Wolfmother or whatever other rent-a-rock Starbucks-affiliated meaningless pap you normally have on shuffle on your iPod. The band make vital (and yes, urgent) music that throws sex, religion, politics, teen-angst and pop culture into a blender and makes you a gray-coloured smoothie that sometimes tastes like shit but makes you feel better.
This is cathartic music that you and your Jet-loving Dad aren't going to agree upon - and wasn't that the point of rock 'n' roll?
